If you live in Houston, odds are you have been to Galveston. While Galveston typically has a bad connotation to it, I would argue these two made Galveston look GOOD during their couples session. What to Wear to your Couples Session in Galveston:
As a Texas photographer, one of the most common questions I get is “what should I wear?”. And I totally get it! When it came to my own engagement session, I was in the exact same boat. Here are a few tips I always give my couples! Firstly, wear what’s comfortable! While I don’t mean your oversized pajama shirt, I do mean don’t wear something that is totally not you. Wear something you’re okay running a bit in! As a photographer, I thrive on lots of movement. So, it makes sense to wear clothes you can move in! Secondly, I always encourage my couples to wear neutral colors. Colors like whites, creams, browns, and tans photograph the best! Additionally, they don’t distract from the background around you. Lastly, my major tip is to use pinterest as inspiration! (my pinterest is here – I have tons of boards with outfit ideas for you!). Create a vision board of what styles of clothes you’re drawn to and look best together. I promise it’s helpful!
Best times to take couples photos:
When it comes to planning your couples session, I always recommend asking your photographer what time they recommend. But personally, I recommend shooting during golden hour. This time of day is about an hour before sunset! I prefer this because I adore the golden lighting! At the same time, I also love photographing during sunrise. Galveston especially is perfect for sunrise sessions!

Galveston has so many unique hidden gems! Some of my favorites include the Galveston Seawall, Beachtown, and the historic area of Galveston! Of course, I had other secret locations I love but I guess you’ll have to book me for your session to hear them! 😉
