The Hidden Acre
The Hidden Acre, located right outside of Waverly, Iowa is one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings in! As an Iowa wedding photographer, I promise they hit nearly every box! Personally, I adore the outdoor ceremony space. Additionally, they have a large indoor space for both your ceremony and reception! No matter the time of year, this is a great option for your wedding!
Cost: Pricing to rent the Hidden Acre Venue is $5,000 on a Friday, $6,000 on a Saturday, and $6,500 on a Sunday.

Little Lights on the Lane
Out of all the wedding venues in Iowa, Little Lights on the Lane in one of my favorites! From an Iowa wedding photographer’s perspective, you can’t go wrong with this space. Personally, I love the touches of the modern bridal suite, the reception space, and the outdoor covered deck! Not to mention, Little Lights is great for golden hour photos because of the surrounding golf course. Does it get any better?

Curate, West Des Moines
Located in the East Village of Des Moines, Curate is a unique wedding venue with an urban feel! I had the privilege of photographing Josh + Sydney’s Iowa wedding at Curate this summer. It was such a fun wedding venue to photograph in!

Ashton Hill Farm
Speaking of modern wedding venues, Ashton Hill farm is undoubtedly at the top of the list! It’s located in both Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Galena, Illinois. It is clearly carefully designed with intentional details that will make your Iowa wedding day simply amazing! This Iowa wedding venue is clearly stunning from all angles.

Toast, Ankeny
Toast is one of Iowa’s newest wedding venues. It’s located in Ankeny, Iowa which is right outside of Des Moines. Personally, I love the outdoor space at Toast!

The Tea Room
If you’re wanting a modern Iowa wedding venue in the heart of Des Moines, try the Tea Room! This venue is located in Downtown Des Moines, and really does scream classy! From the modern details to the overlooking balcony (great for wedding photos ;)), the Tea Room is simply amazing! If I had to choose a downtown Iowa wedding venue for a modern wedding, this one would be it! One of my favorite features as an Iowa wedding photographer is the wall of windows that create perfect lighting here!

Surety Hotel
The Surety Hotel is a new hotel in the heart of Des Moines that actually doubles as a wedding venue! Ideal for intimate weddings, this space is truly unique! One of the benefits of having your Iowa wedding at the Surety Hotel is the fact that you can stay here too! No doubt – this venue is perfect for an intimate, modern wedding in Des Moines, Iowa.
