Harpor’s Vineyard, located in New Virginia, Iowa is the perfect space for your outdoor wedding in Iowa. It holds the perfect backdrop for bridal party photos, a ceremony in front of the vineyards, and so much more. As an Iowa Wedding Photographer, I absolutely love photographing weddings at Harpor’s Vineyard, and for good reason! The staff is absolutely incredible. Not to mention, it holds the perfect backdrops for any wedding photo. Harpor’s Vineyard is definitely one of the top outdoor wedding venues in Iowa.

#2 – The Hidden Acre / Waverly, Iowa
The Hidden Acre is an Iowa wedding venue located in Waverly, Iowa. Amazingly, it’s located just 15 minutes from Cedar Falls. As a wedding photographer, I highly appreciate having this beautiful venue so close to the Cedar Falls area. The Hidden Acre features a white building, a spacious outdoor area, and is the perfect venue for an outdoor Iowa wedding.

#3 – Rollins Mansion Venue / Des Moines, Iowa
Located right in the heart of Des Moines, Iowa is the Rollins Mansion. Clearly, it holds incredible potential for both an outdoor and indoor space. With a stunning garden and a balcony for your reception that overlooks Des Moines, Rollins is an amazing outdoor venue option for your wedding.

If you’re looking for an Iowa wedding venue that has both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, I highly suggest Little Lights on the Lane. Located in West Branch Iowa is this stunning all-white venue. When looking at Little Lights, you can tell the space is a blank canvas. Not to mention, their staff is genuinely incredible! I have had the privilege of photographing weddings at Little Lights on the Lane and cannot recommend this Iowa wedding venue enough!

# 5 – Ashton Hill Farm
With locations in both Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Galena, Illinois, Ashton Hill Farms is a stunning wedding venue for both indoor and outdoor weddings. Because this venue books up quick, I highly recommend reaching out to them for your upcoming Iowa wedding! Ashton Hill Farm has beautiful details inside and out. Consider this venue for your Iowa wedding! This wedding photo is from a stunning fall day at Ashton Hill farm in Cedar Rapids! How gorgeous!

If you’re looking for an outdoor venue near Des Moines, Iowa, consider the Hyperion! It’s a stunningly simple venue on a golf course! Not only is the food at Hyperion INCREDIBLE, but the golden hour photos on the green is one of my favorite bride and groom photo locations in Iowa! Additionally, Hyperion Field Club has an indoor space for ceremonies and receptions – which is a great option for weather!

Jasper Winery is located right in the heart of Des Moines! Not only is this venue the perfect location for guests, but the winery is stunning! It’s a great option for an outdoor wedding if you’re looking for views of the vineyard while being in the city!

#8 – Toast Wedding Venue / Ankeny
While Toast primarily serves as an indoor wedding venue in Iowa, it does have an outdoor option for both photos and more intimate weddings. It has an incredible, unique balcony which offers a stunning backdrop for small ceremonies, bridal party photos, or intimate wedding receptions. I couldn’t help but add Toast to this list – it’s one of my favorite Iowa weddings. If you take a peak through Ella and Sean’s gallery from their wedding at toast, you’ll see why!
