What’s in my Camera Bag as a Wedding Photographer

As a wedding photographer, I get asked all the time what is in my camera bag. So, I figured I’d write a blog post with a whole list of what I used for every photoshoot. If you’re looking to start photography, are a photographer but wanting to upgrade your gear, or just nosey – this blog post is for you 😉

1. My Camera Gear:

The number one thing in my camera bag I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT is my Camera + all time favorite lens!! I shoot on a Nikon Z6ii – one of Nikon’s best mirrorless cameras (in my opinion). The lens I use with it 90% of the time is a Nikon 35mm 1.4 lens. The crispness of the photos with this combo is seriously unmatched.

Other Camera Gear in my Bag:

2. Film Cameras

I started shooting on film cameras this year and it’s one of my favorite things! It allows my client’s galleries to have a touch of that old-school style photos. In my opinion, it adds so much to the client experience.

My film camera is a Nikon F100 film. I love it because it works exactly like my Nikon D750 – it has auto focus and self-advances so you don’t have to wind it!

I also shoot primarily on Porta 400 film!

3. Hard Drives

My hard drives that are ALWAYS in my camera bag include:

  • Sandisk SSD (my go to!! expensive BUT so speedy + worth it in my book!! I always edit off these)
  • LaCie Hard Drives (these are my hard drives I use for backing up – a lot more affordable)

4. Creative Tools

One of my recent favorite purchases is my lighting fractals!

5. Camera Flashes
